Reflecting on 2024: Wins, Growth, and What’s Next

2024 marks the end of my 19th year in senior living marketing and communications. Looking back over these 19 years of all the thousands of sales associates, marketing teams, advertising teams, and activity directors I’ve worked with brings tears to my eyes. What a wonderful industry we’re in.

The team celebrated the holidays together virtually during our annual holiday party – spread across the country, united in spirit!

This year brought a lot of wins for our clients: several hitting and holding 100% occupancy for the first time ever; expansions, acquisitions, and new builds; a few viral public relations stories shining the light on invigorating seniors; and many email campaigns that had higher open and click through rates than we’ve ever seen.

Website visitors are at an all-time high, digital leads are increasing YOY, and unqualified leads are dropping consistently for our clients. These are huge wins for us, as we all know the pain from too many unqualified leads.

Most importantly, our team continues to refine and grow stronger. We all now have several years under our belts of senior living marketing and public relations, and that allows us to lead with greater empathy, understand our clients’ needs in greater detail, and work cohesively as one unit.

I’ll leave with a highlight of some wins this year:

  • 160 communities trusted us with their marketing and public relations campaigns, allowing us to help them reach more seniors in more states than ever before
  • Over 1.5 million visitors reached our clients’ websites this year, thanks to an extensive SEO plan led by our team
  • Over 6,200 emails were sent to leads and referral sources, with steady and consistent messages for each community representing their own voice and brand
  • We managed an ads budget totaling over $3.46 million for all clients combined
  • We secured over 440 media pick-ups throughout the nation honoring the residents and associates of the communities we serve, sharing stories of love, connection and growth

We are looking forward to even more wins in 2025, and the possibility of serving even more senior living communities.

To our clients, thank you. To our future clients, we can’t wait to meet you.

Wishing you all a peaceful and joyous holiday season –
Jen
